The lonely bouquet

So two paper down for prelims a couple more to go. Just a quick update on what happened today. So I was having a study date with my friends at Greenwich. It was a really typical kind of study date , like to coffee bean and flipping and reading of notes until Priscilla asked me to go to the washroom with her. On the way to the washroom , we passed by a flight of stairs and there was a bouquet of sunflowers on the pillar. So the first instinct was definetly
 " Why is there a bouquet of sunflowers there ? "
" Was it meant for someone ? "
" Who is this meant for ? "
" Why is this bouquet of sunflowers left here ? "
" Was it intentional or did someone left it there by accident ? "
There was pretty much a lot of questions running through my head. And obviously a typical break-up scene where the girl rejected a guy and left the flowers there. Being so curious , I read the note that was tied on to the flowers. It reads " Adopt me and like me on facebook " Or at least something that goes a long the line. It was a really pretty bouquet. And trust me sunflowers sold in Singapore is pretty pricey. Not only that , the wrapping was really nice so I presume it must cost quiet a lot. I took a pictures of the flowers , fiddled with it a bit and left for the washroom . While waiting for Pris to use to washroom , I think to myself , it was such a simple act that made me think so much about life. Not only that , it really warms my heart knowing that there are such people , willing to spend money to spread the happiness in Singapore . Although I know that this 'campaign' was not started in Singapore, but still , it just warms my heart and brought a smile to my face. It kind of made my initial-gloomy day. Although I didn't keep the flowers because firstly , my friends was with me and it will be really embarrassing to take it and secondly I believe that someone out there deserves it more than me. This made me think that , a simple gesture can really make someone's day or at least , my day. After I went back to coffee bean , I'm still able to catch a glimpse of the flower. I watched as the people walk pass , oblivious about that beautiful bouquet of flowers. No one touched it , no one picked it up and read the note. If only everyone could stop and take a look. Or I would totally love to stay and watch whoever is willing to adopt that bouquet of flowers.

If you have the money, do spend it wisely. Such stuff is really worth spending on , especially when you are going to put a smile on someone's face. And of any of you know who was the one who left the bouquet of sunflowers ( which I doubt so ) do drop an email to me at maytinee29august@gmail.com because I would really want to know who did it. Okay, I'm really curious okay. Or if you are to shy to email me or whatnot, just want to tell you that , what you did was really really meaningful and heartwarming. :-)

It has been a really hectic week for me. Or at least for the whole holidays. Holidays are meant for catching up with people you are meant to catch up with and of course catching up with your studies. Have been studying lately but I keep thinking that it is not enough and not only that , I still have tons and tons of homework UNCOMPLETED, I mean , it never ends right? Apart from the catch up that needed to be done in school , there is also catching up with people & I'm glad I managed to catch up with some of the people that used to mean so much to me ( and still is ) and most of us are able to make time for each other. So basically , I call this week the 'free week' where I mainly try to catch up and go out with as much people as possible. And I went out with three to four groups of people I guess?

So the first bunch of people I hung out with was munshi. On Monday. We planned to ice skate but apparently , our poor time management skills made us late for the time slot. And it would be a waste of money if we spend it on ice skating so we ended up catching a movie instead. And we watched the lion men 2. The movie wasn't bad , I would say moderate compared to maleficient ( no offence to the lion men fans ) Can't stop fangirling to Kwok about how cute Charlie and how charismatic Wei Liang was in the movie.  Afterwards we are still contemplating whether ornot we should ice skate and it was already 6 at that time so 45 mins of skate time is gone. And we ended up at West gate for swensens. Its been so long since I last ate swensens tho. And there was this really huge playground at west gate ,being the child-like me , my first instinct was to run to theplay ground ( obviously ) . It was like paradise for a kid. I swear. You know those ball playground at safras ? Its like that but without the balls. It was really really fun. & being someone who loves kids , I ended up playing with them and Jes and Kwok just sat there and fall asleep. Thinking about it , they are quite a cute couple. Ahah.  I felt guilty cause I didn't entertain Chun & Mic. & me being super kiddish , running around , I jumped and twist my ankle. It hurts like maaaaad. Walking really hurts. And it swelled when i went home. luckily my aunt bought me some cream to apply the next day.  Although not everyone came that day but I happy to see those familar faces and glad that we catched up. Hopefully, there will be another outing and hopefully , more people will come. Pictures down below,

And the next bunch , okay la not bunch la , just one person , the loser bff. Its a pity that bimbz didnt join us bc apprently her parents think that ecp is not safe for her. Meh. So the bff and I went cycling at ecp on Wednesday. Despite my ankle still hurting like a bitch , I went a head. & for the first time in forever *plays music in head* , I cycled a double bike. It was really difficult at first bc a lot of coordination is needed and both of us were nervous. There were a lot of times where we almost collide to other cyclist. But being pros , we got the hang of it in like 10 mins. I remembered where we cycled till obs and we decided to make a u-turn and then switch position . I had to go to the front. Bc I was short so I had trouble hoping up the front seat and suddenly my leg cramp. JUNGJUNGJUNG. It was really hilarious, Carine started panicking and she got off the bike and asked me to get down and suddenly the cramp went away. You should have seen Carine's expression . She was like I really don't know what to do. Ahah. We had a code word whenever we see a hot guy. *smirks* We saw Ian fang look alike , TWICE and TWICE he smirked at us. Ohmygod. melts. We watched the sunset together ( how romantic ) and ate slushies. It was super funny , we ran to the shop and it closed . & I was like shit we came here just for the slushies and it closed and I think the owner's dad saw us or something and asked us to ask the shop seller whether they want to sell us and in the end they said yes ! ( ps pris if you are reading this , the shop seller looked like CY , sucks to be you )  okay pictures down below.

Thursday , I met up with Vincent and Tricia. Its been so long since I met the two of them. Vincent is in poly now so he living the more slack life while Tri & I are like madwoman studying. We went to upp Sembawang rd for this dam good pasta but I shit everything out after the meal -_____- so Idk. The price is reasonable tho a big plate of pasta for $7.50 or a bolognese for $6?? AFterwards we went to thomson plaza to study. Apprently the bucks at thomson doesnteven have aircorn -___- and its like 'sumer' in sg now so we decided to go mc at amk to study. I would say , its pretty productive , at least to me bc I manage to finish one geog paper so big yays to me ! ^____^

And Saturday, the lawa gang came to my house to help me bake a birthday cake for my brother , aunt and dad bc it their birthday the next day. They came over for dinz m bake and sleepover. Big thanks to them for helping me make such a delicious cake. It is dam chio I swear. And we had loads and loads of fun, & I'm so happy most of us came & we spent time with each other bc its been pretty long since we last spent time with each other so yay. Finally watched catching fire and I can't wait to watch mocking jay ohmygod. Its so exciting I swear.

MALEFICENT AND SHORT HAIR.

yoyo wasssup guys.

whattheheck is with my intro...Okay anyway , went for a midnight movie yesterday for the first time. (( and yes I dont know how to show you my excitment )) exactly at 12 mn. Went to amk hub to meet xuan , ying and chels. It was so funny bc my parents didnt want me home too late so if I watch maleficnt it will end at about 2.30 and I have zero interest for xmen and the next movie that is avail was the fault in our stars. I didnt want to watch tfios bc I promised the gurls I will watch it with them. So I was about to agree to watching tfios bc I had no choice when my dad called and said its okay and he will pick me up after the movie so maleficient it is! It was such a greaaaat movie. Its the best movie so far other then divergent and hunger games or maybe after I watch the faults in our stars soon with the gurls. But maleficent is such a great great movie. Its kind of like sleeping beauty (( exactly)) and Aurora was my fav disney princess so its like a bonus point for the enjoyment level of the movie. (( if there is such sentence )) If you read sleeping beauty or watched it before you will know the story even before anything happen. But everything is just from maleficient point of view.

Heres a short para about what is the movie is roughly about. Maleficient is Aurora's godmother and the movie just shows the reason why maleficient wanted to harm Aurora and her true intentions. She did it out of betrayal. Its a really heartwarming movie. I suggest you guys to watch it with you family bc it is a family movie. or watch it with your love ones. It just shows that true love does not necessarily comes from your boyfriend or whatnot but from your family. Such a heartwarming show and theres a lot of plottwist and stuff you wouldnt expect. After watching it , you will think that in every fairytale, the villians do have their story. Definetly a must watch !!

okay enough about Maleficent. So today, I chopped off 3/4 of my hair. YES THREE FREAKING QUATERS OF MY HAIR. GOD DO U FEEL MY PAIN. those 1 and a half year of me saving them , I cut them today ( technically yesterday but meh ) I think it was such a brave thing to do, kuddos to you Maytinee. The last time I had this short hair was in primary school. I specified the length I wanted to the woman and she was like okay. Then I made a mistake telling her its okay if she cut it till I can tie it. So she re point the lenth the want to cut and I already took off my specs so I cant gage but use my gut feel. sigh. So heres how I currently look like now
